Trevor Belmont	Trevor Belmont is the great-grandfather of Simon Belmont. It is the year 1476, and Dracula has waged a war against humanity due to the death of his wife Lisa, who was burned at the stake after being accused of witchcraft. The people of Wallachia have called upon Trevor to save them from the wrath of Count Dracula.
Grant DaNasty	Grant is a former pirate whose entire family was killed by Dracula. When Grant opposed Dracula, a curse was placed upon him that turned him into a monster. It is up to Trevor to free Grant of this curse and in return gain his aid to defeat Count Dracula.
Alucard	The son of Dracula whose full name is Alucard Farenheights Tepes, awaits Trevor in Alucard's Cave. If Trevor is successful in defeating Alucard, the curse of evil put on him by his father will be broken, and Alucard will offer to join in the battle against Dracula.
Sypha Belnades	Sypha is a witch who grew up in Wallachia. After her entire family was murdered because of their dealings in witchcraft, she went on to seek refuge at a church which granted her protection. Sypha was called upon to rid Europe of Dracula, but was turned to stone by Cyclops in the Mad Forest. Only defeating Cyclops will break the stone curse on Sypha.
Dracula	After his wife Lisa, who was a human, was burned at the stake by the people of Wallachia Dracula raised an army of demons whose purpose was to destroy all of Europe as revenge for her death. After Sypha vanished on her way to destroy Dracula, the people of Wallachia called upon Trevor Belmont to aid in the quest to rid Europe of the evil Count Dracula.
