Castlevania Crypt.com

Today is the 1 year anniversary of Castlevania Crypt.com

This site has grown a lot since it made its debut on December 30th of last year, and it will grow even more in 2010. When Castlevania Crypt.com first opened it only had 5 games on it. Now there are 22 games on the site, with only a few more to go and then every Castlevania game will be available. As you know by now when each game section is added it contains detailed info including a complete list of enemies and bosses, a description on all the characters in the game, a walkthrough, wallpaper and artwork, the soundtrack, a list of all armor, weapons, etc that are available for that game, and much more. There are at least 8 more Castlevania titles that will to be added to the site. They are Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin and Order of Ecclesia for the Nintendo DS, Curse of Darkness for the PS2, Order of Shadows which is a Castlevania game made for cell phones, The Dracula X Chronicles for the PSP, and also the 2 Castlevania titles for the N64 (Castlevania 64 and Legacy of Darkness). After these 8 games are added to the site, Castlevania Crypt.com will contain the most detailed info on all Castlevania titles released in the United States, and just about every title that was released in Japan. There are 2 other Castlevania Arcade games that were released in Japan over the past few years, Castlevania: The Medal and Castlevania: The Arcade. These 2 games may also find there way to this site as long as enough info and images becomes available for them.

Besides finishing up adding all the Castlevania games to the site in 2010, you can expect to see additions and updates to the games already on the site throughout the new year including Artwork, Wallpaper, Maps and more. Of course once Castlevania releases Lords of Shadow for the PS3 & Xbox in 2010, that section of the site will expand. You will also see more info and features for Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth, since that has just been released. As always if you have anything to submit to the site, or any suggestions or comments email them to: alucard@castlevaniacrypt.com

There will also be some other new features to the site in the upcoming year. Let’s just say they will bring both fun and humor to Castlevania, but in a very good way. Stay tuned for these surprises that should start appearing shortly after the new year.

As for Konami’s plans for the Castlevania franchise in 2010, as I mentioned above they will be releasing Castlevania: Lords of Shadow for the PS3 and Xbox 360. We still have yet to hear the official release date. Lords of Shadow is the highly anticipated title that will bring the Franchise to the PS3 and also Xbox 360. The game is said to be "the return of Alucard" as the son of Dracula is rumored to be playing a part in the story. Many people have asked if there will be a new Castlevania game for the DS next year. The answer to that is probably not. Had Konami been preparing to release a Castlevania DS game in 2010 we would have heard something by now. It appears that Konami is going to push Lords of Shadow as its main title for the franchise next year, and not release a new DS game so fans are encouraged to purchase LOS. Hopefully we will see a new Castlevania DS game in 2011, and if so you can expect to hear news of its possible release as early as next summer, that is if there will be a 4th DS game. Castlevania has been extremely popular on Nintendo's handheld systems over this decade, making 3 popular titles for the Game Boy Advance, and another 3 superb releases for the DS. All 6 of these games have been based off of the Symphony of the Night style castle layouts, and fans of these games can only hope for a 7th. We will wait and see what Konami has planned for the future of Castlevania, and I am sure all Castlevania fans are looking forward to Lords of Shadow next year.

Castlevania Crypt.com will continue to be updated on a regular basis in 2010. This site will never die down or fade away. It is a tribute to one of the greatest video game franchises ever made, and a thanks to all of its fans. Thanks to all of you who have visited this site in 2009, who have emailed suggestions and provided feedback throughout the year, and to all who have submitted material to help make Castlevania Crypt.com The Best Castlevania Fan Site & Shrine. Also thanks to
Realm of Darkness.net for allowing this site to be part of the family, and for providing endless support. It has been a great rookie year for this site in 2009, and things are going to get even better in 2010. Like Alucard the son of Count Dracula, Castlevania Crypt.com will live on forever...
