  Simon Belmont | It has been 7 years since the events of Castlevania, and Simon Belmont discovers that a curse has been placed on him by Count Dracula, and that he does not have much longer to live. The only way to save himself is to resurrect Dracula, and defeat him once and for all. |
  Dracula | Dracula returns with the aid of Simon in order to be cast away forever, while breaking the evil curse that threatens to take Simon's life. |
 Priest | The Priests usually dwell in churches, and can replenish Simon's energy. |
 Ferryman | The Ferryman will carry Simon across rivers to 2 different locations. |
 Merchant | Merchants travel from town to town, selling various items to Simon. |
 Oak Stake Salesman | Located in each Mansion, selling Oak Stakes for 50 Hearts each. |
 Crystal Trader | Simon can trade crystals to the Trader for an upgrade. |
    Villagers | Villagers are found throughout all of the towns. Some offer advice, but may be deceiving. |
    Hidden Souls | They appear at secret locations to provide Simon with special items. |
